It is riding a hot air balloon above the Serengeti. In a basket floating through the air. The basket hanging from a bag of more—slightly warmer—air. Weightless, windless, speechless motion.

Of all superhero traits, flight is the one to have. Soaring above the rabble. Or, if not the rabble, wheat fields in Kansas.

Or, if not in a balloon, or as a hero, it must be at the piano.

A musical murmuration of the starlings. Wings spread to inspiration.

Unspeakable musical soaring. And just as the starlings swoop and rise, so may I.
